Our founder Rasim Aktaş was born in 1976 in Palamutçuk Village, Karacasu district of Aydın, Turkey. In 1992, he left his hometown for the first time and moved to İzmir Karşıyaka. There, he began working as a dishwasher at Kırçiçeği Restaurant alongside his uncle Osman İpbaş. Thanks to his diligence and dedication, he quickly advanced to positions such as journeyman, chef, head chef, and branch manager. Over 21 years, he gained extensive experience in the Kırçiçeği chain.
In 2008, Rasim Aktaş took on the role of a partner at Ortaköy Kırçiçeği. During this period, he developed his expertise in restaurant management and customer satisfaction. This phase lasted until 2013, after which he decided to embark on larger projects. In 2014, he established his own brand, Egeden Gayrettepe, with the goal of presenting Aegean cuisine in a modern approach. Here, he achieved significant success by combining traditional flavors with a contemporary touch.
